PACKAGES MALL: THE SHOPAHOLIC’S POCKET GUIDE

PACKAGES MALL: THE SHOPAHOLIC’S POCKET GUIDE

To make sense of my affinity for Packages Mall, it’s necessary to roll it all the way back to 1999.

One of my earliest childhood memories is of watching my mother get ready for work. Every morning, my mother would tame her hair into the perfect Brazilian blowout, don a bright pink lipstick and top it off with (her signature) winged liner. Sometimes she’d catch me awake and ask me to pick out accessories.

This fascination carried over when I entered professional life, and I found myself mirroring several of my mother’s idiosyncrasies. Most notably: dress up and show up. And I’ll be damned if I arrive at the office without the right pair of earrings. Small effort, big payoff.

Packages Mall

I don’t know about you, but the minute I get my paycheck, I head straight to Packages Mall for some good ol’ fashioned retail therapy. I’m no expert insta-famous influencer, but what I do have is a distinct sense of style.

People often ask me where I’ve acquired a particular outfit/lipstick shade/necklace from. Well often enough at least. So I figured I might as well give out a few recommendations. While there are more than a dozen shops that I visit religiously, alas, that would make for an unnecessarily long list. Instead, I’ll give you my top 7 picks for when you want to put together a killer outfit:

Generation

1. GENERATION

Remember my mom from four paragraphs ago? Generation has been her boutique of choice since the early 90s. They never hopped on the frill/lace/sequins bandwagon, every article of clothing is a piece of art. They’ve recently introduced a line of ready-to-wear handloom sarees, and your girl has bought one in every print. The secret to my mothers incredibly toned arms is a decade of dragging me out of Generation’s store.

2. MANGO

Whenever I’m at Packages Mall, which is far too often, I make a beeline for Mango. Before my Mom can catch up to me, I’m already in the changing room with an armful of clothes. Mango is where I bought my first pair of perfect cropped pants (I’m 5’8 so this was a rare find) and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. Whether you’re looking for something casual, quirky, or maybe athleisure is more up your alley. Mango has something for every one.

3. HENCE

I’m willing to bet that you’ve often walked past this store, when you’ve visited Packages Mall, without so much as a cursory glance. Guess what my friend, you’re sleeping on some grade-A merchandise. At Hence you’ll find a wide variety of well-tailored formal blouses in the most universally flattering shades. Want to look professional and super fly simultaneously? Check them out!

4. BY THE WAY (BTW)

When you enter the BTW Packages Mall outlet you’ll feel overwhelmed by the rows and rows of net kurtas. But if you look past the bows, sparkly buttons, frills, and excessive embroidery- BTW stocks a decent range of formal blouses. By now you’ve probably realized that I have a thing for blouses, mostly because they’re perfect for us workin’ gals. Get with the program.

Packages Mall

TIME FOR A BREAK

EVERY TIME I’M AT PACKAGES MALL, I WALK PAST CINNABON AND PRACTICE MY PRANAYAMA. ON MOST DAYS I CAN’T BRING MYSELF TO JUSTIFY CONSUMING SUCH UNGODLY AMOUNTS OF STARCH AND SUGAR, BUT AFTER TRAVERSING THE MALL I THINK IT’S TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE. SO PUT DOWN YOUR SHOPPING BAGS AND SIT DOWN FOR A QUICK BITE.
IF YOU WANNA PLAY IT SAFE GO FOR THE CARAMEL PECANBON, BUT IF YOU’VE DECIDED TO GO COMPLETELY BALLS TO THE WALLS, THE CHOCOBON IS WHERE IT’S AT. NOW THAT YOU’VE BEEN SUFFICIENTLY SATIATED, BACK TO SHOPPING.
Khaadi

5. KHAADI

I believe in comfort above all else, that’s my excuse for pairing every kameez I own with tights. Ladies you know how hard it is to find a pair of tights that last more than two seasons. Not when they’re Khaadi tights. These bad boys will last years: no tears, no fading. Other than their (godsend) tights, Khaadi stocks beautiful kurtas and they’ve got a range of semi-formal outfits. Gotta hit it up next time you visit Packages Mall.

6. SAPPHIRE

Listen, I’m as invested in self-preservation as the next person. That being said, I have risked bodily harm and navigated through the mobs of bargain-hunting Aunties which Sapphire is famous for. If you’re looking for a minimalist three-piece suit, which can easily transition from day-to-night, Sapphire is the place to be.

7. NEXT

If you were a teenage girl back in 2010, there will always be a soft spot in your heart for Next. I remember back when they opened their first outlet in Mall of Lahore, my friends and I would shop there in preparation for every birthday/concert/party/bonfire/you-name-it. Whenever I visit Packages Mall, I inadvertently end up here. If you’re looking for everyday-chic outfits, Next has got you covered.

C&K
I KNOW I SAID I’D NARROWED DOWN MY TOP 7 PICKS, BUT THE NEXT THREE DON’T COUNT, TECHNICALLY. HEAR ME OUT. IMAGINE A YACHT WITHOUT AN ANCHOR, USELESS RIGHT? SAME LOGIC WHEN IT COMES TO BUILDING THE PERFECT OUTFIT, IT CAN’T BE DONE WITHOUT A FEW (ESSENTIAL) ADD-ONS.

Vincci

WOMEN’S SECRET

I know the name sounds like an off-brand version of Victoria’s Secret, but give them a chance. If you’ve already found that flattering, sheer lace bralette of your dreams, consider yourself lucky. But remember, splurging on these basics is always worth it.

ACCESSORIZE

I could be wearing a ratty old grey V-neck, so long as I’m wearing a thin gold pendant and the right earrings, I’ll still feel like a million bucks. I make a monthly run to Accessorize. It’s a disease because I’m slowly running out of storage space (and money), but you’ll have to pry my Accessorize loyalty card out of my cold (iced-out) dead hands.

VINCCI

Packages Mall has the largest outlet of this Malaysian brand, within Pakistan. Every once in a while, there comes a time when I have to wear adult shoes. That’s where Vincci steps in, with their wide variety of fine leather shoes; flats, heels, loafers, slip-ons and boots. You’re missing out if you’re not checking them out on your next visit to Packages Mall.

Packages Mall Lahore

By this point, if you’ve been heeding my advice, you’ll have blown throw most of your paycheck. Been there, done that. It’s time to tie it all together with a pretty bow. Pretty bow: good food. A food court run is in order.

Sometimes when I’m feeling patient I head on over to Pantry or Mocca, so that I can archive my experience on Snapchat in killer lighting. On most days, I’m not patient. Luckily, the food court is chock full of eateries, whether you’re in the mood for desi, chinese, quick snacks or fast food. I’m never going to say no to a Double-Quarter Pounder. Top it off with kiosk fresh ice cream and I’m golden.

For anyone in the throes of sudden-adulthood induced impostor syndrome, I think my list will definitely help you dress the part. So go ahead and bookmark this article for the next time you’re at Packages Mall, which should be all the time TBH. Just because you’re on that 9-to-5 grind doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice your sense of style. Let Packages Mall upgrade you!

ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR PACKAGES MALL

ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR PACKAGES MALL

For what seemed like a millennia, the prospect of an outing in Lahore was nothing short of a pickle. Moving from one store to another during an intense shopping expedition wasn’t for the fainthearted. Ending up stranded, with far too many bags, in the middle of a commercial block was a likely possibility. Packages Mall serves as the perfect remedy to my ailments.

The game has been changed.

*

A weekly visit to Packages Mall has become a staple for me. I’m not big on shopping for clothes, bags or shoes. I shop in bulk twice a year, like every other oddball. But I quite enjoy roaming around Packages Mall alone on a lazy (hazy, crazy) day of summer. The cool air, and abundance of natural light through the glass windows encourage exploration. The white, gleaming corridor is mostly empty; I could skip across it without bumping into anyone. Let’s not delve into how I know this.

Lahore has been changing a lot lately. Flyovers and underpasses are replacing pothole-ridden, traffic-jammed roads. It is now easier for people to commute to ‘distant areas’ within a matter of minutes. But to what end? This development is meaningless if it doesn’t allow for more activities for these commuters.

Right on cue, Packages Limited began building a mega-mall on one of their factory sites from scratch. In the summer of 2017, the mall was opened to the public. Today, it is a frequented spot for those looking to have a good time.

*

Packages Mall
Little Big Town at Packages Mall brings all the kids (and adults) to the yard.

I have a disdain for crowded places; I really don’t like visiting commercial areas during sale season. Before you go ahead and call me a brat, remember: I shop very little. Sapphire gets a bad rap when it comes to sales. But I ended up at the mall at the peak of sale season and was able to stop over at the cinema without any hurdle. If I had any qualms about visiting Packages during sale season, they ended with this visit.

*

Packages Mall manages to steer clear of those looking to marathon on escalators and elevators. This is surprising, considering how malls tend to be open to the public. Sure, it’s jam packed in the evenings, particularly on weekends, but the people here have an end goal. They want to sit in the food court, attend a meeting, catch up on their summer shopping or buy last-minute presents for Mom and Dad.

The choice of entry gate is crucial. It determines my trajectory in the mall. For example, I usually go for Gate 6, which leads me to donuts, and then books. Sure, I’ll end up at the bookstore eventually (I’m such a nerd), but my whereabouts prior to that will vary. For example, I once entered through Gate 3. It took some getting used to: escalators were replaced by an electronic ramp and there were far more stores here than at Gate 6.

All-in-all I was happy to see the extensive thought that went into the layout of Packages Mall.

The signboards told me that moving up the ramp would lead me to Hyperstar. I made some mental notes about shampoos and olive oil that needed stocking up. Meanwhile, to my left was Mussawir Art Gallery, which was rather full. Apparently I had come across it mid-exhibition.

*

Packages Mall

Quite successfully, Packages Mall has kept entertainment at the forefront without compromising on quality. For every photo op with a parrot, you have a caricaturist drawing 20-minute portraits for the people surrounding him. Cinepaxand Bose’s showroom are within a short walk of one another. While you could shop for homeware at Hyperstar, you could find a greater variety at Habitt instead. The food court exists side-by-side with quiet, peaceful cafes such as Mocca and New York Coffee. There’s a punkish ethic to this that is impressive. The status quo is being catered to, and then being opened up to newer prospects simultaneously.

*

Every other visit to the mall, I pick up a printed directory from their reception desk, depending on how well thought out my agenda for the day is. A brief walk brings me across Super Space’s skating rink; I could elaborate on how unbelievably joyous it is, but I saved that for our Mom’s list. A short flight of (moving) stairs brings me across a Pepsi Battle of the Bands concert. At another five minutes’ walk lies a bustling indoor summer camp, Little Big Town. If I were six, a happy camper or diehard fan of Battle of the Bands, I could easily get hung up here.

But I am none of these, so I opt for a quick stopover at Gustoso followed by an extensive sit-down at Liberty Books. Before I know it, four hours have passed. On my way out, I make it a point to stop by PopNosh and pick up a little something for later. And for the whole family.

It’s only when I’m leaving the mall that I realize I have a family.

*

Packages Mall

Malls don’t just give people an opportunity to shop in one destination; they also allow them interact with others. If you’re more of a Satrangi person, and someone else is a Mantra girl all the way, they can share one space, and yet going about their separate business. Similarly, Packages Mall, through its spacious, well-planned outlook serves as an apt community center. Families, friends and loners (MY PEOPLE) all collect under one roof on a regular basis. There’s something wonderful about that.

*

As I stand outside Packages Mall, trying to remember where I parked my car (everytime, Urooj. WHY, Urooj???), my experience of the past few hours is put into perspective. From my vantage point, I see advertisements of various stores and restaurants off in the distance, plastered across the walls. Beyond it, the sky in hues of pink and blue, provides a picturesque backdrop to the reds, greens and blues of the fence-like boundary. For this brief moment in time, I am unaffected by the rumbling din of Ferozepur Road.

The city is a distant reality.

PACKAGES MALL: ONE-STOP FIX FOR YOU

PACKAGES MALL: ONE-STOP FIX FOR YOU

Packages Mall is never empty. Every single time that I have visited, whether it be in the evening or in the afternoon, there is always a vehicle centipede that I have to tango along to get inside. It was first opened to public in early 2017, and has since become one of the busiest malls in the Lahore. It is often compared to Emporium Mall that is a just a little older then Packages Mall.

Packages Mall

Packages Mall houses more than 200 stores and a parking space that can hold up to 2000 cars and 2000 motorbikes. The parking lot also has reserved spots for women and drivers with disabilities. Packages caters to all kinds of shoppers. If you need to buy Eastern wear, there is Ideas by Gul Ahmed,  Agha Noor, Alkaram, Sana Safinaz and Beechtree ready to provide you with the best options. If you are looking for something in Western attire, Mango, Adidas, Breakout, Hopscotch and Caanchi and Lugari are some options to consider. Shoe brands, from high end to affordable, also occupy retail space. These include ECS, Almas, Hushpuppies and Borjan to name a few. There are also several home decor stores like Habitt, Kalamkaar and Samad’s Carpet. Makeup brands like Inglot have kiosks at Packages Mall, and Makeup City here looks a lot like Sephora.

Packages Mall also has a large grocery and consumers goods section called Hyperstar. You can find great deals on all sorts of household items here. The newest addition to the mall is store called Miniso that carries affordable but adorable products ranging from plush slippers and stationary to electronics and beauty products. I regularly go there to say hello to the squishy stuffed toys that I have fallen so in love with. Once I was left unattended and tried buying five of these huggable little potatoes!

Packages Mall also has the food situation covered. There are various stand-alone eateries on the various floors like The Pantry, Arcadian, Cafe Pomelo, Butler’s and Baskin Robbins. The food court offers less formal dining and less expensive options like Simply Sufi, McDonald’s, KC Grill and Bombay Chowpatty. Coffee connoisseurs can enjoy a cup at Espresso or Gloria Jeans instead.

Packages Mall

The mall also has a multiplex cinema. A play area for kids called Fun Factory makes this a family-friendly space. There are also large, well-managed restrooms on each floor as well as designated prayer areas for the shoppers’ convenience. All these amenities are a reminder that Packages Mall has been designed in accordance to international standards. The security and maintenance are impeccable. The architecture and design transport you to comparable high-end shopping complexes in Dubai and Bangkok.

Packages Mall also attracts large crowds with its seasonal events and celebrations that usually feature free activities and exquisite plant sculptures. The schedule for all events held at the mall can be found on Packages Malls’ official website.

Organic Bazaar 2.0, Lahore

Organic Bazaar 2.0, Lahore

With many health experts recommending fresh farm produce and organic products, the urban populace of Pakistan has started focusing upon eating and living healthy. In order to bridge the gap between consumer and producer, as well as raise awareness about natural produce, Inqalab the Organic Shop arranged the “Organic Bazaar 2.0” at Packages Mall,Lahore from 29th June to 1st July 2018.

An organic lifestyle may seem like a step forward or a westernized concept for Pakistan; however, we’re merely going back to our roots. Organic food was common among our predecessors, who used natural means of farming for centuries. From chemical free fertilizers to natural pest control, our ancestors had mastered organic farming down to the T. So what changed?

Visitors at the Pure Pores stall

Visitors at the Pure Pores stall

The sudden population boom in the past century gave rise to Genetically Modified (GM) plants and animals, resulting in faster growth rate and larger sizes. For insect infestations which can easily damage plants and thus disrupt the demand-supply equilibrium, stronger pesticides were used. However, it is generally recognized that these often include harmful chemicals, which leave residual effects that pose many health problems. This is where modern organic farming comes to play. By using approved pesticides, compost instead of chemical fertilizers, and adaptive methods like crop rotation, organic farmers ensure good quality crops with low health risks. However, compared to organic farming, conventional farming methods are more commercially viable. On the other hand, organic farming produces lower yield per hectare. Nevertheless, one always has to pay the price for health.

With the aim of making organic and natural products more accessible in Pakistan, Inqalab focused on bringing together various vendors and start-ups in one place. Categories included organic farm produce, food and beverages, natural/herbal personal care, eco-friendly crafts and goods, and nature based service providers such as alternative medicine and nature therapy. By making the event free for visitors, and choosing a frequently visited location like Packages Mall, the company was able to attract hordes of visitors to the bazaar.

Pure Milk stall

Several start-ups stood out amongst the rest, including the stall arranged by the organic shop. Their small-scale business sells organic vegetables, dairy products, poultry and even cosmetics such as scrubs and face washes. In a conversation with the manager, we learnt that not only do they have the certifications confirming that they sell organic products, they are also authorized to provide these certifications to other start-ups. However, they have been facing losses because of issues such as high cost of vegetables - with tomatoes costing almost Rs.200/kilo - and chickens that take longer than usual to reach full growth. Despite the setbacks, they seem determined to maintain consistency.

“Nano’s Fabulous” was another food stall, specializing in various types of chutneys. Instead of using chemicals to preserve food, they use pasteurization as a method of conservation, and to cut back on any losses, they make their product in smaller batches. A dairy stall by the name of “Pure Milk” was also present. They raise their cows on natural feed, and sell milk on a demand/supply basis, meaning that the milk sold is completely fresh and untreated. Apart from owning a store in Model Town, they also offer home delivery at an approximate rate of Rs. 120/kilo of milk.

Down the line was “Kishmish Organic Skin Care,” an online store that sells scrubs, facemasks and moisturizers. According to them, they grow all the raw materials used in the products themselves, and don’t add any chemicals for fragrance while packaging. Furthermore, they were mostly selling dry products, which have a longer shelf life. Another skin care company was, “Pure Pores,” whose owner obtains raw materials such as cold-pressed coconut oil directly from local suppliers who extract oil manually. This makes the claim of organic products slightly questionable, but since the organic shop doesn’t stock anyone without requisite certification, perhaps her claim is authentic. Besides, since the owner has sensitive skin herself, she said that she only sells products that work for her as well.

International companies were also present, in an attempt to market imported organic products, such as the Swedish skin care brand, Du’VI. Their company also stocks in many different stores across Pakistan. Furthermore, some producers from Hunza could also be seen marketing their dried fruits.

Alpine Honey brand

It was heartening to see how much effort start-ups are making to ensure that consumers buy the healthiest possible products. The bazaar not only caught the attention of their target market, they also managed to attract people who weren’t even aware of the concept of organic food. Customers, such as Ms. Maleeha, thought that the bazaar was a great way to obtain information about organic products, and how we can adopt them in our own lives.

It is certainly appreciable that the “The Organic Shop” organized such an informative and enlightening event. A small step towards an organic nation could go a long way in the future.

Make your Chaand Raat festive and glittery at your favorite Packages Mall!

Make your Chaand Raat festive and glittery at your favorite Packages Mall!

Here’s a scenario: you live in Lahore, and the weekend is approaching. The children have been dropping hints like “bounce, Mama!” and “shopping!”; two terms that have become synonymous with Packages Mall. Sound familiar?

Packages Mall Lahore

Any attempt at leaving the house has been daunting for a while now. The terms ‘slumber’ or ‘napping’ are wasted on you. You woke up exhausted, and you’ve been this way for as long as you can remember. Good genes and a dash of that go-to concealer have you looking human. Most days.

We’ll let you in on a secret: Heading to Packages Mall is super easy. It’s not the living nightmare that maneuvering a stroller around Liberty Market would be.

Okay, we hear you. We aren’t addressing the real issues: Will you need extra supplies for the kids? Is your stash of snacks plenty? Is taking a stroller there a bad idea? Why doesn’t anyone mention those damn strollers???

HARDLY ANYONE TELLS YOU THE IMPORTANT STUFF NOWADAYS. HARDLY.

Lucky for you, we’ve had first-hand experience visiting it with new parents (don’t ask). After some trial and error, we’ve come up with this seamless and helpful guide just for you. Yes, you needed this one. Ahan, you’re welcome!

FIRST THINGS FIRST

Before you head into Packages Mall, you need to make a decision. Repeat this question in your head:

Am I going to Packages Mall for myself or the kids?

If the answer is “myself” then you’d be wise to drive straight on over to gates 2 or 3 for entry. If for the kids – and solely for the kids – then enter through Gate 6 and you’re the coolest mom alive.

THE DEAL WITH GATE 6 AT PACKAGES MALL

Make sure to hold on tight to your little ones if they have the tendency to slip away. Don’t worry though, we know exactly where they’re headed. Our sympathies if you are the only caretaker at that moment. There’s a skating rink that is hard to miss. Behind it; mini battery-powered cars. One thing’s for sure: you’ll end up the best mom in the whole wide world.

If, alternatively, you decide on taking the elevator straight to the second floor, you’ll be greeted with the burst of colors that is Super Space. Once you enter though, an hour will be lost in seconds.

A stone’s throw away from this play area is the food court, with McDonald’s’ golden arches in sight; the holy grail for children aged 8-12. It’ll be fun seeing their scrunched up faces; their mind conflicted between Super Space and McDonald’s. But, mark our words; they’ll go for Super Space. At first.

If you have another adult with you, this would be the perfect time to leave the kids with them and go on a shopping spree.

Hey, this is a judgement-free zone.

BUT WHERE TO?

Shopping at Packages Mall is super-efficient. The mall is laid out like one spotless clean, spacious corridor so it’s hard to miss any of the outlets. It also makes for some good exercise. Make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes for this one.

CLOTHES

Eastern Wear

Whether it’s something for your cousin’s mehndi or just one good old, sweat-defying lawn ka jora that you want, prepare to have your demands met.

In one air conditioned setting, you can glide from Agha Noor to Generation quicker than the little one can drop his McNuggets. One of our editors completed her Eid shopping in under an hour in this very location. Sounds like a dream, right?

STORES TO CONSIDER: ALKARAM STUDIO, BEECH TREE, SATRANGI, ETHNIC

Western Wear

Okay, we hear you. There are enough kaam waalay kapray rotting away in that forgotten drawer of your wardrobe. But your street-style needs sprucing up. Those pre-2010 bell bottoms are a no-no and the flowy white shirt has a big CERELAC stain on it.

Don’t fret; you’re at the right place. If you’re looking to treat yourself, NEXTLevis and Mango are where you should be at. If you want to go easy on the wallet, you’re still spoilt for choice. SplashMantra and Hence are a few short steps away from one another.

STORES TO CONSIDER: ALMASBEECH TREEONE

SHOES

Nothing, and we repeat NOTHING is easier to shop for than shoes. You don’t need to ruffle your hair or cram into try-rooms to look for ‘that perfect pair’. Go on, try those heels, the purple-studded sneakers and six pairs of flip-flops if you want. You’ll be done within the hour. Efficient, right?

STORES TO CONSIDER: VINCIBORJANCHARLES & KEITHINSIGNIA
Packages Mall Lahore

HOMEWARE

No one knows who broke your favorite vase. But someone did and now the corner table looks sad and lonely. Don’t let it stay sad and lonely. It’s heartbreaking.

Some of the best homeware chains in Lahore have outlets in Packages Mall. Stores such as Habitt, in fact, have one of their largest displays in Packages. Head on over to Gate 3 or the area around it, and you’ll come across a number of lifestyle stores.

STORES TO CONSIDER: KHAADIKALAMKAARDOLCE VITA

BUT NOW.. BACK TO THE KIDDIES

Packages Mall Lahore

We’re going to cut this wishful thinking short: your hour is over and you’re reunited with your kids by now. But just when you think your shopaholic streak is over, numerous distractions are coming your way.

LITTLE BIG TOWN

Located between Sapphire and Khaadi, Little Big Town is a full fledge indoor mela. Once your children enter this elaborate playpen, they can purchase and eat food, play carnival games and win prizes. It’s hard to miss, with its balloon-like gateway and the trendiest summer jams blaring from this corner. It’s a party, and your kids are gonna want to be at it.

PARROTS

Not your regular desi parrots. Macaws and Cockatoos sit on a traveling stand on both floors of Packages Mall, providing a stellar photo-op for anyone willing to get those talons on their skin. Don’t worry, there is a proper handler with them, assisting you in every way. The Macaws may be loud, but boy oh boy, they’re pretty

THE MOVIES

Want a good ol’ quality experience with your children? Cinepax has multiple cinemas and is showing Hotel Transylvania 3 at 5:30 PM. The cinema’s snacks counter offers soft drinks, a variety of popcorn, nachos, hot dogs, fries and a bunch of cinema food.

Cinepax also makes it a point to keep intermissions so that children have breaks to go to the restroom or fill up on snacks. They have separate family sections and a VIP section as well so that you’re at ease.

GROCERIES

If you’ve managed to get out of the house, you need to make it count. You’re always short of supplies and you already need a trolley to put any shopping/baby bags in.

There’s no such thing as enough pampers. There’s no such thing as enough candy. And there is no way you have tried everything K&N’s has to offer. Translate your shopping high into a quick groceries stopover. Win-win.

In fact, Hyperstar is worth making an exclusive trip to Packages for. Fresh prawns, gourmet cheese, a variety of pickles and fruit from various corners of the world, all available under one roof. Didn’t know that already? You do now.

YOU’LL BE SURPRISED AT HOW FAR A LITTLE PLANNING WILL TAKE YOU. WHETHER YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A FUN EVENING OUT WITH THE KIDS, OR ARE DETERMINED TO SEIZE THE DAY, HERE’S HOPING THAT YOU HEAD OUT OF PACKAGES MUCH MORE FULFILLED THAN YOU ENTERED IT.

In one air conditioned setting, you can glide from Agha Noor to Generation quicker than the little one can drop his McNuggets. One of our editors completed her Eid shopping in under an hour in this very location. Sounds like a dream, right?

Western Wear

Okay, we hear you. There are enough kaam waalay kapray rotting away in that forgotten drawer of your wardrobe. But your street-style needs sprucing up. Those pre-2010 bell bottoms are a no-no and the flowy white shirt has a big CERELAC stain on it.

Don’t fret; you’re at the right place. If you’re looking to treat yourself, NEXTLevis and Mango are where you should be at. If you want to go easy on the wallet, you’re still spoilt for choice. SplashMantra and Hence are a few short steps away from one another.

Packages Mall on the last day of celebrations was as exciting as it was on its first! We acknowledged that there’s nothing like uniqueness so we lined up performances by local talents. The much loved Pashto band, Khumariyaan, performed their native tunes live creating musical magic with their instruments and other dance performers competed in uplifting the crowd’s energy.
